When I Close My Eyes, All I See Are Baby Goats...

Exciting News!!!!!

The Baby Goats Have Arrived!!!!!

Last Wednesday and Thursday we witnessed the birth of our first goat kids!

Fiona gave birth to a singlet doeling whom we have named Celeste.

Like mother like daughter; don't they look identical?

Fiona is a proud and very caring mama!

And, the next morning, dear Amelia gave birth to triplet boys! All spotty and sweet.

We have named them Jupiter (Joop for short), Zaphyeer and currently...no-name. Still working on the littlest one's name as he looks just like his mama and we have been ill-mannered-ly calling him 'little Amelia'. Not a very masculine thing for a buckling (;

Zaphyeer and 'no-name' testing out their legs.

Jupiter is a big boy....moon spots and all!

Beautiful and perfect...still wet behind the ears. Look ma, I can stand! (:

All are doing very well and happy and healthy! What a joy! I'm hooked on Nubian goats! When I close my eyes, all I see are their little velvety sweet heads! (: Too much fun~

Oh Amy...the baby goats are so beautiful! I just love those spots and their lovely floppy ears!! Congrats to the entire family! So happy to hear that all are doing well. I'm sure it's difficult to leave the barn and get ANYTHING done!? lol

Jenny, thanks. I am goat-smitten. I can't stop hugging their tiny little goat beings and kissing their little velvet ears. I now fully understand the term, "love me-love my goat". Who needs perfume and jewelry when you have eau de baby goat and straw in your hair! (: (:

Dear Amy,

What sweet little kids! Quite a bumper crop, too! :) I wish we could give them all a squeeze (but they wouldn't like that too much, would they?). We hope to have some Nubians when we get our next home (we're renting here). We'll have to enjoy your photos for now.

I'm still working on that blog award (passing it along); I haven't forgotten!

Have a blessed day,

Marqueta

They are so beautiful! I wish we had enough space to keep goats. We have runner ducks. (both Boys) and a few chickens.

They are so adorable! I do love goats. I used to have a pet one as a child and it would come on walks with the dog and cats. :)

Marqueta, oh I do hope you can get some Nubians when you next move. They are magical. Thank you for the kind thoughts! ~Amy

Amanda, thank you. I have always wanted to have runner ducks. They are so comical and funny! I'm so glad you stopped by. Welcome to a new friend! (: ~Amy

Tammie, alas, no it is not our home...but I do wish it was. Just a beautiful photo... Wouldn't it be nice to sit in that little stone house and live simply by the fire? Thank you so much for stopping by! I'm so glad to have you here! ~Amy (:

Karen, I will have to commission you to do a goat painting for my daughter. We keep talking about a Nubian goat with angel wings...like a dragonfly...can't you just see it? With their big ears and all? And, also we have been discussing 'goat guardian angels'...my daughter calls them 'goatian angels' isn't that sweet? ~Amy (:
